Elaine McMurray is a contemporary, anti traditional painter based in Austin, TX. With the addition of non-traditional elements such as glitter and glass, her paintings delve into themes of exploration and metamorphosis. By using these materials in conjunction with conventional painting mediums she is able to further explore her identity and process the world around her.
McMurray received her BFA from the University of Texas at Austin. Her work has been exhibited at Soft Times Gallery in San Francisco, CA, Wavelength Space in Chattanooga, TN, and at the 500X Gallery in Dallas, TX.
